Product management lead for European Access Project and Inbound Interconnect Project or IBI (follow on from Fast Track – see below)

 

·         European Access project – Developed local access strategy across 35 European countries using a mixture of Vodafone assets and third parties. From guiding supplier research to analysis and decision making

·         IBI – deployment of Layer 3 MPLS interconnects between the Vodafone Global IPVPN network and Vodafone local Operating Companies (OpCos). The scope of the project included Netherlands, Spain, Germany, Italy, Turkey and Ireland

 

Principal Product Manager – Global IPVPN – Fast Track project (7 month contract role) – Vodafone Group

September 2014 – March 2015

Product management lead for Fast Track Project – Part of Vodafone Project Spring – €19B global network investment

 

·         Fast Track built & deployed network interconnects & commercial processes that allow the Vodafone Global IPVPN network to use the local access in Vodafone operating companies (OpCos). This included Vodafone Germany and the Vodacom Business Africa Pan Africa Network in 24 countries

Responsible for the delivery of a number of global IT projects

·         Development of 10Gbps access to the Vodafone Global MSP (Multi-service platform, Ethernet and IPVPN) MPLS network

·         Introduction of resilience capability for 1G and 10G Ethernet services

 

Product Manager Network and Cloud Connectivity Services Claranet – September 2011 – March 2013

 

Responsible for end-to-end product management of MPLS, Ethernet, 3G and DSL network services in the UK which form part of a new portfolio of Virtual Data Centre (VDC) Cloud services

 

·         Defined new Network & Connectivity portfolio after Claranet bought Star

·         Launched SIM only Mobile Broadband service for mobile workers and M2M

·         Managed relationships with network technology providers including BT Wholesale, TalkTalk Business, Virgin Media, Three, Cable & Wireless, Level3 and COLT

·         Launched 3G resilience service for DSL & Ethernet customers

Managed Vodafone’s Single Sign-on (SSO) Identity management system providing security, authentication and authorisation for online (web & mobile) content & services – including mobile TV, music downloads, Messenger and adult content barring

 

·         Successfully managed up to 12 software releases per year

·         Launched Vodafone UK Partner API giving mobile aggregator partners access to demographic and device information allowing personalisation of the customer experience

·         Drove service usage reporting

·         Increased uptake of adult content bar removal leading to increase in content sales
