Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEO Specialist to join our marketing team.  The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in driving organic search performance. This role requires strategic thinking, technical expertise, and a passion for staying ahead of industry trends to ensure our platform ranks prominently on search engines.

● SEO Strategy Development: Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings, drive traffic, and increase conversions for our online casino and sports betting site.
● Keyword Research: Conduct in-depth keyword research to identify high-value keywords and phrases relevant to our target audience and competitive landscape.
● On-Page Optimisation: Optimise website content, meta tags, headers, images, and other on-page elements to improve search engine visibility and user experience.
● Technical SEO: Identify and address technical SEO issues, including site speed, mobile optimisation, crawl errors, and indexation problems. Work with webdevelopers to implement necessary changes.
● Content Strategy: Collaborate with the content team to create SEO-friendly content that aligns with user intent and drives engagement.
● Link Building: Develop and execute effective link-building strategies to increase domain authority and improve search engine rankings.
● Performance Analysis: Monitor and analyse SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and other SEO software. Provide regular reports and actionable insights to stakeholders.
● Competitor Analysis: Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and search engine algorithm updates. Adjust strategies as needed to maintain competitive advantage.
● Compliance and Best Practices: Ensure all SEO practices adhere to search engine guidelines and legal requirements, particularly in relation to online gambling regulations in South Africa.

Job Requirements:
● Solid understanding of performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition
● In-depth experience with website analytics tools (e.g, Google Analytics, NetInsight, Omniture, WebTrends)
● Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript development and constraints
● Knowledge of ranking factors and search engine algorithms
● Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in SEO and SEM
● Has a deep understanding and experience with on-page and off-page optimisation with the usual SEO tools stack (Ahrefs, SEMRush, ScreamingFrog, Sitebulb, SearchConsole, SurferSEO, Frase…etc.)
● Has experience in on-site link strategies and technical SEO.
● Has experience with content strategy and setting a long-term plan.
● Has experience with performance tools like Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Tag Manager
● Has excellent English language skills; you can confidently do light SEO edits of articles. You can confidently communicate with stakeholders within and outside the company and progress within the role.
