This role is for an exciting, Berlin based scale-up with 120+ employees who recently received 8 figures in Series A funding. They are looking for a Senior Product Analyst to analyse data and derive insights to ensure they make product decisions that have the highest impact.

Responsibilities

Data is a critical part of our product development process. As a Senior Product Analyst you will play a key role in developing and executing the data strategy for the Product department. You will be part of the central Data team and will work closely together with the different product stakeholders. You will deliver end-to-end data projects based on priorities and mentor other team members.

  • Own the analytics for the entire Product department. Take end to end ownership of all data projects and work on the data strategy
  • Work collaboratively with the CPO, Product Directors and Product Managers to define and track meaningful KPIs, assess opportunities and to prioritise tasks with the largest customer impact
  • Drive product experimentation by seeing opportunities, defining objectives, proposing tests, analysing results and providing recommendations based on the results
  • Use quantitative analysis to deepdive into customer behaviours and understand what drives our business, providing insights to help product managers, designers, and engineers to decide which features to build and why
  • Join and present in business decision meetings as the advocate of the Data team to uphold data-driven thinking
  • Mentor other team members and proactively improve the Data team by introducing new techniques and technologies
  • Contribute to the development of our data warehouse, which helps our entire company using uniform metrics, getting better insights and having easier access to data

Requirements

  • Strong quantitative background and 5+ years of relevant experience as data / business analyst
  • Experience with A/B testing
  • Deep understanding of product analytics. Experience with eCommerce shops and metrics is a plus
  • Great knowledge of SQL, data relationships and DWH ecosystem concepts
  • Fluent in Python or R for analytics & statistics
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced startup
  • Experience in using data visualisation tools, e.g. Looker, Tableau, Metabase, Google Datastudio
  • Excellent commercial awareness and being able to prioritise work with the highest business impact
  • Strong communication and project management skills. Capable of sharing complex insights in a clear and simple language and managing different stakeholders; business/product owners, engineers and management
  • Experience with Web / App tracking/analytics is a plus
  • Speak and read English fluently. German is a plus
