We are currently recruting for a Freelance/Contract Product Owner for the below position in Brussels, Candidates should be Flemish or Dutch/French speaing rate up to 600€ per day for initial 3 month contract, please see below for more details Location:

DESCRIPTION

Description of tasks

The successful candidate will provide services for the projects maintained by the client.

The candidate will contribute to the activities listed below (non-exhaustive list):

  • The Product Owner possesses an in depth knowledge of goals and desired objectives of the project
  • Propose solutions by combining IT tools and business process refactoring or improvements based on an in-depth understanding of a specific business domain
  • Creates, maintains, prioritizes, and sequences the product backlog based on business value or Return of investment
  • Creates user stories and acceptance tests from themes and features granular enough for a single sprint
  • Is involved in the decision making process related to user stories scheduling into sprints
  • Participates in project planning, daily stand-up meetings (SCRUM),
  • Participates to retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings
  • Reviews deliverable and demonstrable product version/software functionalities after every sprint
  • Organizes live demonstration of the product at the end of the sprint
  • Facilitates the acceptance of the product by the business
  • Develops and maintains standards for testing
  • Provides progress reporting
  • Assists with internal and external communication by improving of transparency and dissemination of information.
  • Assists with prioritization and resolution of defects / bugs

 Knowledge & Skills

  • Following certifications are strong assets: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), SAFe Product Owner or Agile or PM2 (or equivalent)
  • Proven working experience with Agile
  • Knowledge of Agile toolbox (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, BigPicture, Gliffy, Balsamiq, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Application Management Lifecycle
  • Knowledge of the department’s business environment
  • KYC (Know Your Customer)

Proposed candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

  • Ability to participate in multilingual meetings
  • Ability to understand, speak and write English, French and Dutch fluently
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on a large project

Additonal information: 

  • on-site work is required, remote work can be an option but candidates must guarantee and be able to relocate and work on-site once the pandemic is more calm (business travels are allowed)
  • This a trilingual position, the 3 languages must be fluent or at least B2 level (C1 level is perfect)
