This role is for an exciting, Berlin based scale-up with 120+ employees who recently received 8 figures in Series A funding. They are looking for a Head of UX & Product Experience to help scale the team and reimagine their cloud-based SaaS platform solution.

The Head of UX and Product Experience Design is a key position, building and leading our Product department with end to end accountability for design and user experience of our digital products across multiple business segments.

More specifically:

  • Help to grow a design team in a rapidly scaling SaaS business by establishing best practices in design management and employing useful design frameworks
  • Advocate for the role of user experience, design, and research in delivering best in class product user experiences experiences
  • Apply and champion a data-driven approach to design and product decision-making
  • Develop and execute a strategy to optimise design maturity, establish UX metrics and innovate user-centred design processes, with the goal to constantly increase user acceptance of our digital products
  • As a leader of leaders, inspire, motivate, and further develop our Experience Design department (recruit, grow, and guide). Strengthen a healthy team environment and pragmatic cross-departmental collaboration in a multinational context
  • Partner with C-Level and other disciplines to facilitate successful collaboration and delivery within agile teams


  • 8+ years’ experience in leading UX/design and driving experience design principles
  • 4+ years’ experience managing, leading, and mentoring Design/UX teams, ideally in an international, global setup
  • You are familiar and comfortable working within and contributing to large design systems that you may or may not own directly. Balancing the needs of the overarching design language with the tactical requirements of specific projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of usability engineering processes, methods, and tools and how to incorporate them into an agile software development setup
  • Extensive understanding on style guides, principles and strategies
  • Vast track record in design research including descriptive, correlational and experimental research approaches
  • Solid background in lo-fi prototypes and high fidelity designs
  • Deep understanding of design prototyping tools such as XD, Figma
  • Excellent C-Level management, negotiation, and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to clearly demonstrate and explain how experience design drives innovation and business performance to a range of audiences
  • Natural leader who leads by example and enjoys driving teams to excellence
  • Strong background in working with integrative teams and multiple business units
