One our leading African iGaming clients is looking for a Head of Operations to oversee the daily operations of the business, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality products and services. You will be responsible for the smooth and efficient functioning of our platform to meet customer demands and business objectives. Additionally, you will manage back-office functions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Product Management – Collaborate with external service providers to manage the product roadmap and prioritise projects to improve the product.
  • Payment Processing – Collaborate with external service providers to implement, analyse and optimise localised payment solutions to improve UX, FTD%, RR & ROI.
  • Customer Excellence – Collaborate with the Fan Experience Manager, Team Leads to analyse and optimise customer service and implement system/process improvements to reduce time to resolution and improve net promoter score (NPS).
  • Compliance – Collaborate with the Compliance Manager to build relationships with regulators and ensure regulatory compliance across all territories.
  • IT / Data Security – Collaborate with external service providers to manage IT systems and ensure compliance with data protection, KYC and other regulatory requirements.
  • People Operations – Work closely with the People Operations Manager to enhance staff engagement and uphold HR compliance.
  • Finance Management / Compliance – Collaborate with the Finance Manager and external service providers to pay suppliers, produce accurate and timely management accounts and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Strategic Planning – Collaborate with the EXCO to develop the company’s strategic goals and implement operational plans to achieve them.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, finance or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of business experience and preferably in the betting or similar industry..
  • Preferably will have a knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in the betting iGaming industry or be able to demonstrate the ability to acquire this knowledge rapidly.
  • Proven track record of managing operations and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
